About the role
The Assistant Digital Marketing Manager will support in the planning, execution and optimisation of paid digital marketing strategy, across our display, social and video channels. Working closely with the Group Digital Marketing Manager, they will help to deliver impact to digital campaigns to drive customer awareness, engagement and conversion.
This role will require strong collaboration skills as working across the marketing, commercial & web teams to ensure our digital marketing campaigns are not only fit for digital platforms, but also joined up and aligned with the wider business.
What you’ll be responsible for
Managing the day to day campaign planning and set up, working closely with agency partners for both media and creative
Reporting back to the Group Digital Marketing Manager, and Head of Digital Marketing on results and performance against agreed KPIs, whilst also making recommendations to improve, test or change based on results
Working with the Group Digital Marketing Manager to own the direct media relationships with our platform partners, building joint plans and road maps
Supporting with budget management, ensuring campaigns are delivered within agreed spend and forecasting expected performance based on budgets
Keeping up to date with digital media trends, emerging platforms and competitor activity to create channel strategies that achieve our overall digital ambition; to be the best retail brands across all digital platforms
Providing technical expertise within the team on ad platforms and feed management
Working closely with the Digital Performance & Data team on building new audiences and optimised creative to drive new customers to the business
Working with partners and creative agencies (both internal or external) to develop platform optimised creative, whilst continuing to make efficiencies and improvements via campaign management platforms (i.e. Smartly).
We’re looking for someone who has
Experience with the use of CM360, DV360, GA4, Smartly and media ad platforms (inc. Meta, Pinterest, Google Ads)
Experience managing an external agency
Ability to manage feed based marketing activity, making optimisations to the feed & briefing relevant development work required
Ability to report on digital marketing metrics & using the data to make optimisation decisions (including A/B testing)
- Briefing creative requirements aligned to platform best practices
Ability to set up, manage & optimise campaigns within Meta, Pinterest, TikTok ads manager
Strong understanding of digital media measurement
Strong analytical skills, able to confidently read and interpret performance data and make recommendations for optimisation
Proactive & curious about digital marketing and the future of digital platform
Collaboratively able to work within digital and other business functions
Tenacity for driving improvements and ability to report on ROI across search channels
